And Mama’s daily dose is… a quote from Brendon Burchard, In his book, High Performance Habits, “Imagine your best future self, and start acting like that person today.” Let’s get moving, before we get interrupted.
Mama, what does your best future self look like? Who do you want to be in the future? Look, 1, 5, 10 years down the road. Who is it that you are? Who is it that you want to be? What is that person doing? What is that person driving? What is that person living in? What do they do every single day? What do they do with their time?
The more specific and the more clear you are on who you want to be in the future, the more likely you are to become that person. We need to have a clear picture, a clear roadmap of where we want to go. And that is up to you. So what is it that’s going to make you happy? Who is that future person in 10 years? That super happy, super awesome mom that’s doing what they want to do? What does she look like?
And start acting like her today. Because that’s what’s going to get you to be her in 10 years.
Mama, your action today is to think one year in the future. I want you just to think one year in the future. March 2023. The future you…what is she doing? Who is she? What is making her happy? Who is this future you and start acting like her today. Ask yourself? What would future me do? If you’re trying to lose weight and there’s a cupcake sitting there… just ask yourself, “what would future me do?” If me in one year, weighs 10-15 pounds less than I weigh right now, then future me probably isn’t going to eat that cupcake. So looking at your actions today, through the lens of your future self will get you to where you want to be.
