170 – Find a friend

Hey mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose, the short, actionable podcast for mamas who want more. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com. This week has been all about asking for help. So I hope you took those actions and asked for help. And notice how you’re feeling a little bit different this week from asking for help. And Mama’s Daily Dose is… find a friend. Let’s get moving before we get interrupted.

Mom friends aren’t necessarily difficult to find. But finding the right mom friends for you can prove to be a little bit difficult. But we all need those friends in our lives to have that support. Even those friends that we don’t talk to on a daily basis, but we know that we can reach out to when they’re needed. These are the friends that we can lean on to for help. Emotionally, physically, child-care-ily, yes, I did just make up that word. But if they’re nearby us, they can help us out and all those things, but they don’t necessarily need to be nearby us, they can be further away and still provide that emotional and mental help that you need. We all need to find a friend. And you have to take action in order to do that.

Mama, your action today is to find a friend. Find a new friend. Connect with an old friend send a text to a friend you haven’t talked to in a while. Hey, maybe even call someone you know, our phones are still phones after all. But just find a friend and connect with someone today. If you are at a loss for who to connect with, join the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/allyoumama. There are a bunch of mamas in there, ready to support you. Just take that step. Take that little action that we’ve talked about all month, and put yourself out there and just ask for a friend. Have a fabulous weekend. Connect with some friends old and new, and have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
