Because if we don’t utilize it, and we aren’t conscious on how we’re using it, the main thing that is going to be going through our minds is fear that fear and anxiety. And Mama’s Daily Dose is… a quote from Oprah, “When you remove the fear, the answer you’ve been looking for comes into focus.” Let’s get moving, before we get interrupted.
If you were at the free class, or you’ve watched the replay, you know that there’s this little thing in our brains, called the amygdala… kind of looks like an almond. And we talked about how the main thing that it prioritizes is fear. And it’s actually more lit up and more activated in moms than it is in non mothers, I’m not going to go deep into detail, you can check it out on the free class. But just know that as a mom, your baseline anxiety and fear is already higher than it was before you became a mom. So a lot of our focus goes to those fears, you know, staying alive, keeping everyone safe. And when we’re focused on the fear, it becomes very difficult to find the answers that we’re looking for the solutions to our problems, because there’s so much going on in our brain, we’re not able to actually listen to what our body and ourselves need to tell us. And honestly, you have all the answers already. Just need to look inside, get quiet, quiet, that fear a little bit to find the solutions to those answers. I guarantee you, whatever your goal is, whatever you are trying to achieve, you already have that answer inside of you just need to quiet down that fear of it.
Mama, your goal today is to quiet down that fear. And one way to do that is just to take a little bit of quiet. Some people call it meditation, silence whatever you want. I want you to just sit there and focus on your breath for 10 breaths.
