157 – Why you only need ONE goal

You may be one of those big go getters and you have a list of I don’t know, five to 10 goals, you got some personal goals, maybe some career goals, you want to open a business a side business. And then you have some relationship goals and some health goals, just goals on goals on goals. And that is awesome. Like, it is so great to have goals and want to improve yourself. But here’s the thing, if you have so many, you’re not able to focus on them, you’re basically half asking all of them, or if there’s 10 of them, you’re 1/10 asking all of them. It’s like when you’re trying to multitask and do five things at once you’re trying to make dinner, entertain your kids, clean up the kitchen, talk to your husband, check your social media, and you’re really not focusing on any one of them. And they don’t get done to the best of your ability. And that is the same with goals. And usually what happens is there is one goal within that list of goals, that if you focus on that, it’s going to spill over into other areas of your life. You know, it’s like if you have a health goal, a lot of people that start working out, then they start eating healthier, they have more energy, they’re more present with their kids, they’re happier with their spouse. And it’s that one goal that is going to affect all the other goals. When you focus on that one task. And you do it so well. It affects everything else in your life. And then once you have that one down, you can take a look at the rest of your list and tackle the next one and just keep going down the list. But only one at a time.
