149 – “You first have to stop being the old self…” – Dr. Joe Dispenza

Hey, Mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose, the short actionable podcast for mamas who want more. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com. Our theme for this week is looking back on the past year, and looking forward to the next year, what do you want to be in the year 2022? What do you want to achieve. And in order to have something different, you got to do something different. You need to be someone different than you are right now. And our quote is from Dr. Joe Dispenza, and his book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, “If you want to create a new self, you first have to stop being the old self.” Let’s get movin before we get interrupted. 

In order to make a change, you have to first realize there is something about you that you want to or need to change. If you want to get healthy, you first have to stop being somebody that is unhealthy, you want to eat healthier, you got to stop being somebody that eats on healthy, you want to work out, you got to stop being somebody that sits on the couch, and scroll social media all day. In order to be someone different to have something different. You need to stop doing what you’re doing right now. You just can’t expect different results with the same exact behavior. There has to be some kind of change in order to get change. 

Mama your action today is to write down one thing you want to stop doing in the new year. And stop doing it today. As I said before I made changes to this podcast, it was my goal for the new year. But start now no better time to start the now. So what is one thing that you can stop doing today? That is going to bring you to the changes that you want. Tomorrow we are going to talk about how you can really make 2022 Your Best Year and how you can achieve your goals this year that this can be the year that you stick to your goals that you become the person that you want to be.
