Hey mama. This is Mama’s daily dose. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of all you mama.com. Day three of the month of gratitude and your gratitude journal, I hope you’ve enjoyed the past two days of journaling. And today I’m going to give you another idea on what to journal about for your gratitude. Mama’s daily doses is…gratitude for the future. Let’s moving, before we get interrupted.
You don’t just have to gratitude for things that you have already received, or that you have in the present, you can show gratitude for the things that you want in the future – who you want to become, what you want to have, those dreams and those goals and those aspirations that you have. And it goes hand in hand with visualization that we talked about back in episode 92. When I visualized our dream home, and to help that visualization and help that dream or goal come true. Get yourself in the mind space of it already… become that person that already lives in that goal or that dream. And in order to do that, you need to have the emotions associated with it. So be grateful for the future you that’s already reached your goals.
So when I had that dream of our dream home and wrote down everything that I wanted in our dream home, I then in my gratitude journal, wrote how grateful I was to live in this home with kids running around the street that my kids could just go outside and play in the cul de sac. I’m grateful for a fenced in backyard, where my kids can play safely. I am grateful for an extra bedroom so our friends and family can stay there. And just getting yourself in that mind space and emotional state of already having what you dream and you wish for. You don’t just have to be grateful for what you already have, or what you have had in the past. Be grateful for everything that you want, and see for yourself in the future.
Mama, grab that pen and your gratitude journal again, and start journaling for the things that you are grateful for that are sure to come your way in the future. And just feel that gratitude for the things that you know are going to come your way. Tomorrow we take a little break from the gratitude, but I want you to keep up your gratitude journal. remember three things a day. And we’re gonna have quote Thursday, so I will see you there. And have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
