Hey mama. This is Mama’s daily dose. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com. Continuing our theme of gratitude, I hope you wrote down your three things that you are grateful for yesterday, if you didn’t, start today. Throughout this month, I’m going to give you some ideas on things that you can journal about, for your gratitude journal. And Mama’s daily dose is…what are you grateful for today? Let’s get moving. before we get interrupted.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. Take a look at the end of the day, what happened throughout the day for you, and journal about what you are grateful for. I am grateful for my son’s preschool, I am grateful for going to Coffee with my friend and connecting, I am grateful for hot coffee that warms me up in the morning. I am grateful for five minutes to myself in the morning. I am grateful for the nice driver that let me get in front of them when there was all this traffic…whatever it is, it doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be the smallest little thing. And just showing gratitude for those small things will make you even more grateful for the larger things. So for your gratitude journal today, just take a look back on the events that occurred just today. What happened earlier today that you are grateful for? No matter what happened throughout your day, all the crazy things all the quote unquote bad things, I assure you, you can find three things, or people that you are grateful for that happened in just the past 24 hours. Even if you had a difficult day, and things didn’t seem to go right. Sometimes just changing that point of view and looking at what you can be grateful for in that situation can change your entire outlook on that situation, and how it affects you too. So looking for what you can get out of that situation. Not what happened to you. But why did it happen FOR you.
Mama, let’s keep it simple because we all need a little more simplicity in our lives, especially as we go into this hectic holiday season. So just write down real quick three things that you are grateful for that happened in the last 24 hours. And have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
