Hey Mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com. Continuing on our visualization train this week, Mama’s Daily Dose is… be ready for what you visualize. Let’s get moving, before we get interrupted.
The difference between a wish, and a goal is putting some intention behind it, and actually writing it down. Just writing down a goal makes you like 50 something percent more likely to achieve it. Because you’re making it real, it’s not just some imaginary thought in your mind, you’re starting to put some action behind it. And visualizing is the next step. Your mind is so powerful. But it’s also a little confusing, because your mind really doesn’t know the difference between imagination, and what is going on in real life outside. So if you train your mind, and visualize who you want to become and what you want to do, you’re priming your brain to get ready for that time. And to figure out how to get there to take those action steps to get there, your unconscious mind is going to start working to get you there.
But I do heed one warning that once you start visualizing and writing things down, be ready for the universe to like, just make it happen – whenever it wants it to happen. Sometimes it’ll take a lot longer than you think. And other times, it’s just gonna happen like, bam.
So this time last year, we were thinking like, okay, you know, like most American families, maybe will move at some point, we could use a little more space after everyone was stuck at home with everyone for however many months. And we started looking around, and I remember I made this list. And I’m like, we don’t need to move anytime soon. So I’m gonna be so specific on what I want for my dream house. The next house that we move into is going to be my dream house. No joke. 16 days later, we found our current home. We toured it, our home, put in an offer. It was accepted. And we were in that house. 16 days! That is just insane. But it also shows that the more specific that you are on your goals, the better roadmap you are giving your brain to get to that goal and visualizing it. Sitting there imagining yourself as that person, imagining yourself at a certain weight, imagining yourself starting that business, or living in your dream house, going on that dream trip…just sparks your brain to start figuring out how to get you there. But just be ready!
So hey, what do you want to visualize what is a wish or dream that you really want to come true? Write it down as a goal. Be specific, and take some time to sit down and really visualize yourself in that space. And have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
