77 – Who do you admire?

Hey Mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com. Mama’s Daily Dose is… who do you admire? Let’s get moving before we get interrupted.

So we are continuing a little bit on our woo woo train about how everything is a reflection of us; or a mirror. And there’s people out there that maybe you have admired your whole life or that you admire right now. And the reason that you admire them, and the qualities that you admire in them is because you have those qualities inside of you all ready, you may not be utilizing them, but it is possible. And that’s like, super awesome news. Because you may be admiring this person, because you think, “Hey, I admire them, because they are this awesome mom that’s there for their kids. And they run this awesome business.” And you’re like, “I don’t think I could ever do that.” But the reason that you think it’s so awesome and you admire them is because you are capable of doing it, as well.

And I think one of the best things I’ve heard as far as who do you admire is Matthew McConaughey. And I believe it’s in his book, Green Lights, which is an awesome book. Listen to it on audio, because you get to listen to his voice as well, which is super sexy. Anyways, and he also does really good accents, too. But anyways, he said that the person that he admires, is himself in 10 years. So he is always kind of moving the needle, trying to improve himself and that is what he is striving for. And it just shows that…that person you admire… him in 10 years, that is possible. The person that you admire, it is totally possible for you to become that person and have those qualities. You already have them inside of you. You just have to work on them and cultivate them.

Alright, Mama, so you do have a little bit of homework today. And I want you to think about who is a person or people that you admire, and what do you admire about them. And just look at that list and see how you can bring those qualities out of you as well because they’re already inside of you. You just have to be the one to bring them out and bring them to the world. And have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
