Hey, Mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose. I’m Meghan Q Barrett, of allyoumama.com. Thank you for starting your week off with me, and Mama’s Daily Dose is… We’re all out here trying our best. Let’s get moving, before we get interrupted.
I am a true believer in that everyone is out here just trying their best with the experiences and the knowledge that they have at this exact moment. Because really, that’s all that we can do is try our best. And even some of these podcasts that I listened to, I’ll listen to my podcast that I recorded maybe three weeks ago, and I’m like, man, I could have done this better. But you know what, even three weeks later, I have more experience and more knowledge than I did when I recorded that podcast. People make mistakes. But that doesn’t make them good or bad, right? I make mistakes every day. My kids make mistakes every day. But what we do is we learn from those mistakes, and we grow. And we become better. You know, it’s like that, quote “better every day.” And if you’re trying your best, you are going to be better every day. And everyone’s best is different. So focus on trying your best every day. And see those moments where you can learn and become even better tomorrow and have faith in other people that they’re trying their best too. I mean, just look at our kids, the difference that even a couple months can make, you know our kids are growing so quickly. And we’re continuing to grow too. So keep that in mind when you have interactions with other people. It just helps to have that empathy knowing that they’re trying their best to and that’s what you want from other people too when you make mistakes is them knowing that, hey, you tried your best and you’ll learn from it.
Thank you so much for tuning in this Monday morning. And if you don’t already please give me a follow on Instagram @MeghanQBarrett. And that’s Meghan with an H. Have a great day free of mama guilt because you deserve it.
