07 – You Don’t Have to Know HOW to Believe You CAN

Hey Mama. This is Mama’s Daily Dose. I’m Meghan Q Barrett of allyoumama.com Mamas Daily Dose is… “You don’t have to know HOW to believe that you CAN.” Let’s get moving. Before we get interrupted.

You can do things that you have absolutely no idea how you’re actually going to do them. And the way that you get there is that you believe that you really can.

Think about it. Do you think Mark Zuckerberg knew exactly how to create a social media platform when he had this great dream of Facebook? No. But he knew that he could. So he kept going, and he did it. What about Elon Musk with PayPal and Tesla. He didn’t know how he would either. But he figured that out, and a lot more too.

So when you’re trying something new, or you want something different from yourself, you have no real concrete evidence that you’re going to achieve it. You don’t know how you’ll get there.

But if you believe that you can, and you have that undeniable belief, you’ll figure it out. Think about when we ask kids what they want to be when they grow up, right? I remember when I was a little girl, I wanted to be the first girl to play in Major League Baseball. Okay, obviously that dream did not come true. However, I didn’t care that I didn’t know how I was going to do it. I was just like, “I’m going to do this and I’ll figure it out along the way.”

“I can’t” will stop you before you even start. So don’t just go with “I can’t” because you don’t know how.

Believe that you can and you just figure out the rest of the crap along the way.
